I'm Kara Vaughn, a local chalk artist known for creating detailed and vibrant freehand designs.

I have great skill in character and logo replication, lettering, and typography. I create everything by hand—no stencils here!

On average, I take 2-4 hours to complete a piece of artwork, depending on the complexity. On average, I am working within a 10ftx10ft space.

Important Information:

• Materials Used: I work with a variety of sidewalk chalk, soft chalk pastels, and water. Please note that soft pastels, when applied directly to concrete, can cause long-term staining due to their high pigment content. Staining risk is reduced when layered over sidewalk chalk but cannot be entirely avoided. However, this technique allows me to create vivid, long-lasting artwork that stands out.

• Staining Disclaimer: While I take precautions, I cannot be held responsible for any staining or damage that may occur during the creation of the artwork.

• City Sidewalks: Chalk art on city sidewalks is permitted by local law, but please ensure that the location is within an accessible, permissible area for artwork.

• Weather Conditions: I prioritize safe and high-quality work. I will not create chalk art in extreme weather conditions—this includes temperatures below 50°F, above 90°F, strong winds, rain, or storms. If unfavorable weather conditions arise during your booking, I will contact you to discuss alternative options or rescheduling.

• Payment & Refunds: Full payment is due upon my arrival at the location. Please note that I do not offer refunds. 

• Social Media: Some completed artwork will be recorded and shared on my social media platforms. If you prefer not to have your artwork shared, please let me know before I start.
